History: The “Gvozdik” or “Forester” is an amphibious howitzer based on a extended under-cart of the  MT-LB carrier. Produced from 1969 by the USSR, later also under license in Poland and Bulgaria. The 122 mm calibre gun 2A31 is a modernized Howitzer D-30 (frequency 4-5 shots/min., gun range 15 200 m). Used by the following armies: USSR, Algeria, Angola, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia (from 1976, 148 pieces of Bulgarian origin), Finland, Hungary, GDR, Iraq, Yugoslavia, Libya, Syria, Uruguay.
